No doubt the best pho in San Antonio! I enjoy going here because the service is friendly, prices are decent and you can't beat the quality of fresh ingredients. It's my favorite pho spot on a cold day.

Ordered over the phone for takeout and the white meat chicken pho was ready in about 10 minutes! My Mom and I shared the large size. The vegetables were fresh, the chicken was juicy, and the broth was so flavorful! Will be coming back. P.S. - they gave us a surprise dessert!

My second visit. I got the medium size pho and a roast pork Bahn Mi. Delicious. The food is delicious and you get free extras like dessert. The staff is really nice. The inside is very clean and open feeling.

The noodles and chicken had fantastic flavor. The chicken and broccoli were cooked perfectly. I did struggle eating the noodles with chop sticks or even a fork as they were so slippery. I ended up having to use a spoon. It likely didn't help that the noodles seemed to be cut short. The owners seem to be a mom and pop, so it could be a little slow ordering and obtaining your food, but it's so worth it. Cute decorations that make you feel cozy. I had no idea that each dish came with a toro pudding, but it was warm and delightful.

This is my first time visiting a pho restaurant. I have never had Vietnamese food before. It was very good. My daughter found Berni's and this is where she wanted to go for her birthday lunch. It is a cozy, plant filled space with family style tables in the middle of the room and smaller tables on the perimeter. It was pretty busy. The server was friendly and very efficient in waiting on tables, gathering to go orders and checking people out. No one really waited too long for anything. I got the tofu veggie bowl and an order of veggie egg rolls. The food was so good, fresh tasting and not too salty. When I go back I will try something with chicken. The server noticed we were close to being finished with our meals and brought us warm taro pudding soup. We had never had taro pudding and it was surprisingly perfect for the last dish. The portion was good, too. I do recommend you give Berni Vietnamese Restaurant a try!

Brought the whole family and there were 20 of us, yet the food came out pretty quickly! Super friendly staff and plenty of seating Ordered a variety of things from chicken and beef Pho to fried rice, and a few appetizers. Impressed how good it was! The pho dat biet is a personal favorite and it was good for the area considering I'm from OC in SoCal. Nice decor to show a taste of the beautiful culture of Vietnam. Will definitely be back.

The taste is exceptional. Had the lemon grass beef salad and loved it. In general the food taste remarkably good. The restaurant is filthy. I don't think the restaurant seating area caddy trays, windows, floors have ever been cleaned. Amazing that the kitchen gets a score of 99 but the actual seating area is so filthy. Just don't look to hard. The man who greets and seats has as much personality as one of the table tops but the lady doing the cooking is sweet and charming. So would I recommend, yes. I would strongly recommend the food. At least, the dish I had. But, if you're looking for ambiance or cleanliness you're not going to find it here. I give it 4 stars for food taste alone
